Kapitel
Jan Wagner
Artwork, Animation, Communication

Jan Wagner named his album “Kapitel” translated from German as ‘chapters’. The 8 tracks named 09, 11, 27, 28, 30, 36, 14, 25 seem to mimic a non-consecutively numbered sequence, laying the foundation of the visual design concept. We created a visual system that aims to describe the tracks in a more dimensional manner. Transforming the track list way of reading to a circular form, rather than top to bottom, complies with the idea that “the essential puzzle of quantum mechanics utterly transforms how we think about space and time.”

Europa 22
Bilderbuch
Digital

Austrian pop-band ‘Bilderbuch’ promoted their “Europa22” single, shortly before the EU-Elections. Therefore, we created a website which features the possibility to create your own unlimited fictitious “European Passport” (that doesn’t exist). Within 3 days over 300.000 Downloads were made bringing this project massive media attention. The website got plenty of hype being featured, online, on TV and in the newspaper. Celebrities like Jan Böhmermann and politicians like the German Foreign Minister and Minister of Justice posted it on their social media channels.

modestdepartment.com
Modest Dept.
Branding, Digital

We created and developed the Corporate Design and website for the film production company modest department. Through adopting ideas from TV zapping and Teletext into a digital interface, the website is rethinking how content-heavy video platforms present moving images. Instead of closing an overlay to get back to the overview, the overview itself becomes the overlay.

Bildet Banken
Polizei
Communication, Artwork

Polizei are a ‘technoid’ punk-rock trio from Nuremberg and Munich, Germany. We created disruptive ways to promote their music. The branding of their debut album as “Bildet Banken”, which transforms a renown slogan from political activists 70’s  “Bildet Banden” (translated from German as ‘form Gangs’) into the claim, “form banks”. The album was released on a credit card, carrying an USB-Stick. For their tour in 2018 “Gefahr ist Gefährlich” (Danger is Dangerous), we published the mobile numbers of the band members on the tour poster.

Kunstverein Nürnberg
Kunstverein Nürnberg
Branding

The new director of Germany’s oldest art association (founded in 1792), Milan Ther, asked us to renew our old design concept for Kunstverein Nürnberg – Albrecht Dürer Gesellschaft. Their logotype is incorporated into running text, just as the rest of the typographic concept: it floats.
